Thats a good thought, I don tthink many really have things planned out. My dads house. (3 hours away) got broken into and they must have been looking for copper.But most the water system is old galvsteel and pvc mix.lol
So they proceeded to remove the furnace controls and all they could find there.
In the upper floors, (unfurnished and empty) is a full coil of 13/3 copper. They didnt touch, maybe becase and end way down in the wll. And they thought it could be live.:laughing:
Looking around the house after the fact I found several items they could have taken. But what puzzed me was they ignored the coil of copper wire that was in the basement next to the furnace.:confused2: Maybe they plan to return.
So yes hard to figure them out.defiently
