Was talking to a friend of mine about this. He works for a cable company. Some people are to lazy to throw the trash out in a ditch. Some just push it to the corner or put news papers over it to cover it up. One place he said had news papers covering the floors. They were inches deep. Used to cover animal crap and old food. What the **** is wrong with these people, if you can call them that.

You nailed it. "It is out of my hands, and not my problem anymore." Everyone wants handouts and stuff for free. No more work ethic.

That pretty much rounds-up healthcare now too since Mo brought it up!

I run a small class 1 rubbish site for a factory. On occasion we tried to take from the public to help fight illegal dumping but they will try anything. I can't take household wastes or putrecible wastes or containers. They go to great lengths to hide it. Our county had a rubbish site in the middle of the county. But it's twenty miles from the town ours is in so I do take a good bit from locals. We charge a small fee for big loads. I recently turned down a load because it had house hold in it an the screened the load but got nearly off the landfill and dumped it on the site entrance.

Our house hold is picked up by the county and paid for on the water bill for the public. The house hold from the plant we take to the transfer station for 9.50 a cubic yard. Contractors pay the county rubbish site 5.00 a cubic yard for rubbish. The county had an illegal dumpster near the house for trees and brush, I had no problem with that about once a year they covered it with ditch cleanings. What got me was people throw in household waste drums of used oil tires or anti freeze and old houses. Not so much houses but often even the food and garbage in them.
The county landfill is open till 12 on Saturday. What caused me to turn them in to mdeq was one contractor hauling in houses that contained . Asbestos and house hold items I was behind them going to the house and had my little girl with me. He was losing asbestos siding down the road. I got to thinking . About all the stuff we have to do when we take a house with asbestos in it and this was in the public blow in around a ball field. I had a quarterly MDEQ inspection later that week and let them know about it. It's been covered now. I didn't like snitching but something had to be done.

I just rent my own dumpster from a local collection company. It cost me $75 a month, but with the amount of trash we have around here it's worth it.
