I have a boatload of Garden Hoses in 25' , 50' , 100' lengths. I use them all in summer.

I need a way to store these when not in use in my 12X8 shed. (That already has a load of tools etc..)

Anyone have any slick ideas for hose storage????

I currently have them hanging on the wall but someone must have a great storage solution.

I coil each large, abt 5" dia, and join the loose ends. I store them flat, outside on a pallet by the woods on cinder blocks.
larry.

I lay ours out on the side of a hill behind a row of trees. The hill is about 200 feet so they always drain dry and it's pretty convenient to where I use them. It's also in the shade most of the time. Seems to work fine.

I have them on the side of the barn, I bought some of those 1.97 harbor freight hangers, and then use old dog collars to keep them in a coil.

I have 3 hose reels, so I just roll them up and leave them outside in the shade. However, I also have a bunch of soaker hoses loosely coiled and in the way in the floor of the garden tool storage shed. I like the idea of a 20 gallon plastic barrel if I had one, but maybe I'll look for a small plastic garbage can of about that size.

My cousin-in-law has a bunch of tubs that look half height that he got cattle feed in, about 1.5 foot tall and 1' to 2' in diameter that look ideal for hose storage.

I'll bet they called that feed "molasses". I helped a rancher neighbor haul about 10 of those full tubs at a time when he bought more, and of course, I had several of those tubs when I lived down in Navarro County.

I bolted an old tire rim in my barn about five feet off the floor -- holds an awful lot of hose without fear of breaking or bending it

And I thought I was the only one who stored hoses on the ground...
