Don't you get to looking around too much over there at Highlands Tractor. Got lots of goodies for you to spend your money on there! They've certainly gotten enough of my money over the last few years and I never even bought a tractor from them!/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Chris same here, I never bought a tractor from those guys neither but have spent a chunk of change their. One day when I went in there to get some kinda thing for one of the out-riggers on the back-hoe. The owners son said sorry dont have it, I was walking out and the owner said get what you need? I said nah yall didnt have it. He asked what I needed I showed him, and he went to cussing the son and took the part back to the shop and had one of his guys make what I needed. So in the mean time me and the old guy went riding around the lot and I bought a box-blade. So that old guy sold me and saved me alot of down time so I buy there when it makes sense for me. Oh and he didnt charge me for the part they made.

I didnt notice any trailers at Sams here, but have been drooling at the covered ones at Lowes. IMO better then the ones at HD. Ive got a need for a covered 12' trailer but not a regular trailer. I have a gooseneck but it seems overkill. Ive just been waiting to find a good deal on a 10' or 12' enclosed trailer and in the meantime have been taking unneeded risks.. I have some rental property that I maintain so its pretty regular Iam loading up and heading overthere.

Iam going for the ramps, until I find the trailer. I was gonna buy flat ones but they do not work good for mowers. The deck gets hung and Iam through getting hung up.

That would be RC. I bought my '20 lowboy from him personally. His house is outside of Liberty and it's a doozy! I tried to get him to rent me the apartment in his equipment barn, he wasn't going for it. If you ever seen the barn and apartment you'd be changing your house plans. :) He has a shredder I need to buy from him before someone else does.

bgott - Whereabouts outside of Liberty is his house?

I bought my 20' lowboy from Highlands tractor, too. And the 16' lowboy before that... that someone stole. And a 4' rotory cutter to go with my old MF tractor, which I no longer own. Plus $600 in repairs on the old MF because it had been allowed to fall apart by the previous owner. They need to give me one of those punch cards like they give you at Subway so that my fifth purchase is free!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

John,

the other place you might want to look is Northern Tool (catalog or website). I bought a pair of extendable plastic ramps from them (1500 lb for the pair) that I've used to load/unload garden tractor, snowmobile and golfcart. I think I got them on sale at about $130 plus shipping.

Is his house visible from the highway? I travel through that area somewhat frequently and you have piqued my curiosity as to where it is and what it looks like./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Glad you're okay, although you did say that the only thing that got hurt was you. *Are* you okay?

While we were gone, my neighbor mowed the front (street side) of our ditch, and, although he has done this hundreds of times, this time the ground just collapsed under him. He ended up pinned under his tractor in the ditch.. managed to get it off him.. only damage is a sore shoulder and a slightly misaligned hood. He got lucky! I don't go anywhere near that ditch without ROPS and seatbelt, and even then I keep my distance. I still haven't found a good solution for mowing this area. Actually the town is supposed to do it, and they do, but only about once/summer. It gets looking pretty bad. I suppose a side sickle bar would be the ideal for this, but...
