Following up on Trev's absence, anybody hear from Garry Summers, aka golfgar4? Ever since posting those fine pics from the Thresheree show, he's posted sporadically since and nothing since 9/9/02. Hope all is well with you Garry.

Could be one of a couple things that wouldn't be bad. He might have actually become a tractor owner and is playing on it instead of the PC. Another option is he could be using all his free time enjoying the last days of golf for the season. I'm not sure which I'm hoping is the case. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Hi Bob. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Yeah, I haven't been around much lately. It's been one of those spells where it seems the hurrier I go the behinder I get!! /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif I may have mentioned during our discussions about the Thresheree that it's Parade of Homes time here. My wife had two houses in the Parade this year! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif That means that I had four houses in the Parade - if you know what I mean. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif So we've been really busy. And now that the Parade is over, we're dismantling everything, and then trying to catch up on all the clients that were ignored during the Parade. Add to that our office manager's father is in the last stages of a battle with cancer, and she hasn't worked in about 4 weeks - with no short term end in sight. We really miss her, but it's more important that she be with her family right now, so we're trying to muddle through.

And at work, I'm keeping a low profile. We have a new Director of IT, and he's really sharp, so everyone is trying to stay off the radar until we have a feeling of where things are going.

Then there's our church council. I'm the Vice President, soon to be President for two years /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif, but the current President has decided that he doesn't want to deal with our current financial difficulties, so he quit. I found out I became President about 4 months sooner than I thought. We working through some real short falls, so I've been meeting with our Council a couple times each week, and the Treasurer might as well come live at my house! /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif

Well, you don't want to hear my problems. Everybody has their own! /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif I have been sneaking a few looks at TBN lately, but just haven't had the energy to really get into anything. I've gotten so far behind in reading threads, that I'm not even going back more than 1 page anymore.

Well, I gotta go. Thanks for checking up on me. I'll try to visit with you all a little more often. I'm not sure when I'll be able to settle back in to some kind of routine here, but I sure want to try. I really miss all of you guys! /w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif/w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif

Boy, I wish! /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif I'm still hoping and looking, but still thinking it's a good 2 - 3 years away! /w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif

Boy, I wish! /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif Sound familiar? I've been able to sneak in a few rounds, but near as many as I should be! You're right though, we're running out of time!

Thanks for thinking of me Gary!

Hi Gary sorry to hear the busy body thing caught up with you. I to have been out of action for the past week but unlike you its the inaction that has been driving me crazy.

I had surgery last week on my gums and jaw bone. Last ditch effort to keep my original teeth. Well anyway my poor head can't cope with any jarring for several weeks. So no seat time. Yikes whats a man to do.

Luckily I have befreinded a young man down the street thats also totaly smitten with tractors. Currently he is handling all of my mowing duties for me, and loving evey minute of it. In fact we have just reached a deal where he is going to purchase my current TC29 and mower after the 1st of the year, as well as take over all of the residential mowing. That will free up enough time to just do the excavation/landscaping and occasional feild mowing that I prefer. And oh yes that means that I will have to go out and purchase another new tractor next year. Darn it all.

Well gotta go for now, hope things ease up for you soon.

Hi Russ!

Sorry to hear about your surgery and "forced" inactivity. I can feel for you, 'cause I've been exactly where you are right now! Ain't no fun! /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

That's quite a deal you've worked out with the young fellow up the street. Do we need to ask what kind of tractor you might buy? /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif I guess the only real question is what size, huh?

Say, not to put you on the spot or anything, but maybe you completely forgot. Were you ever going to respond to my questions I sent you privately? I was really hoping to get some insight from you. Maybe with your down time now, you could take a minute or two and jot me a few lines? It would be greatly appreciated. /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

Heal quickly, and TRY to enjoy the down time. At least you've got TBN AND CBN to keep you company! /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

Gary my biggest apolagies. Summer was extremely demanding this year. But your right with this downtime I will dig up your queries and answer as soon as possible. There are others out there that owe some time to as well. As well as utilizing your suggestion for trying to deal with some of this in activity. Thank you.

Hey Garry,

So the law finally caught up to you./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif I always wondered what it was like to have one of those cushy jobs, where you can have fun all day./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif Its great to see that you're back. Don't let all that other stuff get you down. It will get done sooner or later. Life's too short.

Hi Kent,

Yeah, I got to admit I was getting a little carried away at times when I should've been doing other things! Maybe Muhammad should start a forum for TBNalholics /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif.

Anyway, it's nice to be back, even if it is a little more limited. /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif I know everything will get done - eventually. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif But you know what it's like - you want to get this thing done so you can move on to this NEXT thing, and so on, and so on, etc., etc....... And it's especially hard when people are paying to have things done in a reasonable time. Of course, your idea of a reasonable time and their idea is two different things! /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Nice hearing from you. I saw you did some posting over at CBN. I haven't really had a chance to take a close look yet, although I did get registered, but it sure looks good. Told the wife about it. She seemed real interested in it. Have to keep my eyes open to see if she registers. Then it'll be a fight over the computer and TBN vs CBN!! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif Actually, that sounds like a win - win situation, doesn't it? /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Take care, and keep it down the middle! /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Sounds like another obstacle to that tractor purchase to me. Another PC...another ISP account... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
