Hey Vernon, how's your recovery.

Nice looking rebuild, Gale. Good thing my budget is tapped out right now LOL

I joined both sites.

I read both sites and got PDF's of all my manuals from them. Some seem to have little experience but are fast learners. Naturally I think dumping huge $$$ into a $1500 cart is questionable but I am sure many do not have two that will be needing cars and college funds in a few years. :D

It does crack me up how the advice from the sellers other include what they are selling as a solution where it applies or not.

There seems to be larger ego's on the cart forums than here.

I have had a setback with a fall. Landed more on my side and apparently bruised some thing internal at about at the former position of my appendix. It is now a case of lower back pain so now every movement hurts.

Saw my surgeon today and he is pleased with my range of motion but not otherwise. Agreed to my using one of my back braces. Now officially sanctioned the PT including the right side in the PT.

I need to get the engine replaced on our EZ-GO Work Horse to increase the range of motion around our acerage :laughing: I am trying to find a capable mechanical type of handy man to assist with the swap. The seller was not very forth coming when I called to get more info. I am not reassured that this is a viable swap.

Up to about 5 years ago I did all such tasks around our houses. Then I would undertake a rebuild myself.

texbaylea health issues is another thing that encouraged me to go unlifted electric due to easy to mount/dismount and little up keep. The rear seat/box saves a lot of steps. Where gas or electric a cart is handy mobility aid as our health declines. Our 2006 batteries still will do 20 miles non stop which means they are going to be fine all day around the place. The headlights are an awesome feature that we added to the stock cart.

Hope you get your engine going soon.

Sorry to hear of your setback - bummer. Hope you turn the corner soon. Have to say, I've very pleased with my knee at this point (9 weeks today), except for baby aspirin and 1 ibprofen (800mg) at bedtime, I'm off the pain meds. Still doing PT everyday. See my surgeon Fri, likely will decide course of action on my other knee based on the xrays.

Getting more use from my recently acquired cart. Today it was handy to make a quick trip up to the cabin to pick up some 2x4s and screws for use down at the garage. It still needs some work, this weekend I'll change out the belts and replace the carb. Was going to just rebuild it, but a carb kit was $85 and new carb was $99, so I opted for the new.

As for your engine... Have you joined any of the cart forums? Maybe you could get a volunteer enthusiast or find a reasonable cost replacement. To think, years ago you likely could have talked a high school shop teacher into taking it on as as student project. Maybe you could find a HS volunteer?
Good luck
