I wouldn't store gasoline as it loses it's light ends rather quickly and spoils.
3 months max storage.
Good luck, Fred
Use stabil and it should be fine for a year in my experience. Try to get something without booze in it if you can, so much the better.
How old is the tank ?? If it's yours usually no big deal but if it's unknown then make oh so damned well sure it's far off and away from your well. When those pups let go it's always in the welded seam and you know where , the bottom. Been there done that and tested **** out of it rinsed tapped pressure tested filled with water and tapped and thought was fine. I even let it sit full of water a few days and beat on it with not so much as a drip.
Put fuel oil in right to top and when I was tapping the bit o rusty cap on tight didn't the bottom spring a leak on the end I had backed into a tight recess. 3 gentle taps no less and it was a gushing stream not some small drip make this crap up and it couldn't happen to you or me. Just make sure it's where it can be accessed to flip around not in some tight corner and where it's not going to end up in someones well if it busts out. One thing you can look for is spots along the edge seam bottom that look dark but beyond that there is no way of knowing. FWIW you have to pump about 50 gallons out of one of those before you can manage to flip it by yourself up on end. Don't ask me how i know that or how many turns with a hand pump equals 5o gallons because I lost count:confused2:
