Sickle Bar Gaspardo FBR 3 pt sickle bar mower needed

I 'm thinking about buying a new FBR Gaspardo 3 pt. sickle bar mower. Would like some owner feed back about it. I need to mow property lines, under evergreen trees, along creek bank, along road ways. I use a JD I-match quick hitch on my tractors. It appears that Dealers don't stock these mowers.
I live in North west Ohio and I would like to see one, before I buy.

While I can't help with your request as posted, I do own a G&S Superior 394-7 (also Italian) sickle bar mower that I bought from Carter & Carter Machinery in Johnson City, TN almost three years ago. It looks VERY similar to the Gaspardo, with two exceptions: a) the Gaspardo literature says the tooth guard bar is bolted rather than riveted which would be some easier to repair and b) it seems to cost a lot more ($3,615 vs $2,500).

I hay about 24 acres twice a year with mine, plus 1,000' of roadside and under trees. I have no problems that I would blame on the mower -- it operates as advertised from 90 degrees up to 60 degrees down without complaint. I've broken a few sections -- finding stray items like tow chains and it has been easy to repair -- mine came with a full replacement blade set that replaces as a unit. Re-riviting new sections is not difficult so I always have one replacement set ready to go. I did not get hydraulic folding, but if I was doing mostly roadsides it would be worth the extra dollars. Mowing acreage it isn't a problem to manual fold.

I called them today and found out where they are located.
Between Marysville and Columbus Ohio on old route 33. About 70 miles from me. They said I could look at the mowers, but I have to buy off a local dealer.

We sell the 7 ft. Superior with hydraulic cyl for $3695 + approx $125 shipping to a business address in Ohio. We also have the same mower with no cylinder for $3450. Superior is a lot easier to get parts for. We sell both brands. Ken Sweet
