Please... tell what work it will do that much better. If you read my post above you can see I'm describing what I'm using the 4310 for right now

His post said 10x what a truck could do, not a nice 4310.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

( will your gator take more than one or two loads from the FEL? )

Steve, I'm not sure how wide the FEL bucket is on your tractor, but my brother and I moved a lot of dirt with his Kawasaki Mule. He let the tailgate down, laid a partial sheet of plywood in the bed, held in place with 2 bolts at the front and extending about 6" past the end of the tailgate. With my B2710 and a 54" bucket, I'd dump 3 full buckets of dirt onto the Mule, which would pile it high and some fall off both sides, and he'd take off, dump it on the fly, and come back for the next load. The Mule had no problem handling that kind of load, was more comfortable riding than a tractor, and ran a lot faster than the tractor.

There's no doubt you could do the same with the Gator or the new Kubota.

Yes I got one a couple months ago and it's great. I think the diesel version would be great. I think the competition is great as they just keep getting better and better.

I was down at the dealer today (getting a tire fixed) and I saw a cs or something like that. It was tiny, no bed to speak of and man... hate to say it, but it sure looks like a toy. I think that is what I've based a lot of my opinion on is the smaller models that I've seen on the showrooms. I've personally never laid eyes on the bigger models.

So for now - /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif, just for now, I'll cease referring to them as toys... but my daughter still thinks they are "cute". /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Thanks Brent - Is it the way I see the picture, or is your rear time almost flattened out in that 2nd picture? Great thread though, thanks for pointing me to it.

OK - You guys win... Just checked out the "Work Site Gator" - that is very cool looking - 1000lbs capacity - and then the 2030 I think - not sure if thats the model, but it's well over 2000lbs, 2650 if I recall - Not a Toy. I relent and hereby declare that they are slick little vehicles... if they only came with heat and a cab for $17000. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

That was the first time. I have since insured that tire pressure is increased when I am hauling in excess.

The Bobcat does come with heat and a cab for $17k. But that is hardly the price you will pay for a Gator HPX. I paid around $7k for my HPX. My 6 wheel Gator was a little less than that. I paid $4k for the Mule 2510 used with a 1000 hours and a brand new motor.

Yeah - that was the extreme range on the Deere website. The "ProGator" 2030 base priced at $16,999. When I went back there it does show it with a cab - it's a pretty stout little machine. The site claims it's only for improved roads though. I guess they targeted it at country clubs and golf courses.
