An interesting discusdion. I have a 3pt "trailer mover" which has a 2" receiver built into it for my GC1715. I also have a 2" receiver built into my fel quick attach.
I found my 3pt to allow me to kerp towed items clear of tires and easier for tighter turns. I also found it very handy for having various 2" receiver options. Those include different drop or rise heighrs for the 2" inserts. The GC series allows you to lock the 3pt and if i need to for some unusual reason I can switch drop/rise 2" inserts which are inexpensive . . To fit towed height needs as well.
In addition . . Had I chosen . . Venders like mytractortools.com also sell a nice 2" receiver that firmly bolts onto the GC rear frame if you prefer that option as well.
In todays market . . there are always multiple solutions available for your choice. I chose a 3pt trailer mover to utilize 3 benefits the GC 1700s have . . Someone else wants fixed.
