GC 2300 dying out

I have a GC 2300 with the Iseki 2.9L. It sometimes will run for hours and then start dying. If I back off the throttle to idle it will not die, it will resume idle and I can throttle back up. Sometimes it just will die just sitting there idling. When it dies it starts by losing RPM's gradually, not like you shut off the key. I checked all the saftey switches, they seem to do fine. It seems like there is a small piece of debris floating around in the injector pump because of the unusal pattern. I have flushed the tank and lines, relaced fuel filter. I took the electric lift pump off from under the floor board and ran it with some diesel and it flows fine, plus I can hear it run while in the tractor.

Is there anyone that has had this problem in the past? I did a serch and could not find anything. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Check for poor or loose ground wire

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this tractor?

If your tractor dies out by losing rpm's is starving for fuel or has an air leak between fuel tank and injector pump. Check to see if your fuel filter housing has a good seal on the top. An electrial problem will tractor to cut off quickly.

devon lane I think you are spot on. I checked all grounds and all seem to be in great shape.
Yesterday I could mow about 300yds then it would start dying out, but if I kick out the PTO and put it back to idle it will usaully gather itself back up.
It is like there is something floating around in pump or somewhere that gets caught up during high RPMs and when I go back to idle it floats away and allows fuel.
I am wondering if the electric lift pump may be going bad. MF wants 172.00 for that part. I had it out and tested it and it seemed to pump fine.
I do not see any wet spots in the fuel lines as to indicate a hole in the line as to air entering.
But that is what it acts like. Maybe I will replace all the fuel lineand see if that makes a difference. Thanks for all the replys and please keep them cooming in so I can back to work.

Do you use any Bio diesel? Sometimes it gells up easily Check your fuel filter again is it a oem part? A good fuel filter will also stop flow if there is any trace of water in fuel.

Don't use bio-diesel. I completely drained and flushed fuel system. Think I am going to replace lift pump and see if that helps. Used vaccum pump to check for leaks, and didn't find anything all this just happened all at once.

I finally found the problem.
I started removing all the fuel line and removed the filter/shutoff bowl. Tried to blow thru inlet and outlet and the inlet had resistence, I took apart the shutoff valve and there was some sort of black garbage.
Cleaned and replaced filled tank back up and off I went. No problems as of yet.
