I thought you had a GC2300? Why are you using a Sears rider?

Why didn't you just pull it out with your GC2300 ?

The Sears works well for mowing the lawn, but it doesn't do too well with pulling a 1300 plus pound tractor that is axel deep in mud.

Uh, the 1300 plus pound tractor I was talking about is a GC2300.

I was kind of hoping that the Sears with its 27 hp engine would be enough to pull the 2300 out. Unfortunately, all it would do is spin its wheels too. Now I know what the old saying about too wet to plow means. LOL

Actually, I think if I would have had a 1523 or larger, I wouldn't have bogged down in the mud because of the rear wheels being larger. So, now I think I will either get a larger tractor, get an electric wench for the front or probably the least expensive, and just stay out of mud holes. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

That is a good price. Without the rebate the price would be $15,950 which is close to what I paid for mine. My 2005 was $15,800 in July.

Hey Carl, I think with trying to pull a middle buster through soupy mud any subcompact or compact tractor would just spin...and sink ,A larger tractor would just be that much harder to get out... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Just stay out of the mud sounds like a cheaper solution, and wait to use your middle buster when it dries out a little...

If your happy with that size tractor and don't need a BH , I would think that moving to a 1523 wouldn't gain you anything really, the 1528 would be a more significant upgrade if you really are needing to move up...
I think the GC2310 TLB if that size tractor is what you really want or need would probably be a win-win all around without knowing how much ground you are having to work with, So you could do that little trench with the BH ,But if thats the only job you can for-see for the BH just wait until it dries out...and use your GC2300.

Oh BTW, That website you provided really seams to have decent prices but I only see 1523's & 1528's

Yeah, I suppose I was expecting a little too much out of the little guy, but it was doing a heck of a job until I hit the quicksand. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I think what I am going to do is wait for everything to dry out around here, (and with the temp's near 80, that won't be much longer) and then use the middle buster to make drain trenches away from my planting area, then dig a hole for the water to drain into and then just use a utility pump and move the water out to a ditch. Of course if I could grow rice and raise crawfish, I'd have it made. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Anyway, I used a pressure washer to clean it all up real nice and pretty, then used the leaf blower to dry it off and then parked it in the front yard near the street while I went to Wal*Mart to confirm that Warren Performance Products supplied them with Tech 2000 and Super Tech oil. When I returned home my son asked me if I was selling my tractor because a couple of people had stopped and looked at it through the fence and asked him how much was I asking for it. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Both were the same price.
BX-24 will address most of the details I didn't like on the Kubota,

Why not offer each dealer a price and go with the one that comes the closest

I'm not impressed with the BX24 - things that look like blimps on wheels turn me off.
