I'm not cobbling anything up
I'm making mounts that are identical to the mounts on my FEL bucket and then will weld them to a piece of 4 inch channel. I'll weld another piece of channel centered and perpendicular to the other, which will extend forward about 18 inches. I will then attach the Craftsman blade to the piece of channel via a bolt and pin. This is how the blade originally mounted when it was on the Craftsman Tractor. I later used is on a fourwheeler using the same piece of channel. So I figure one day, a little bit of work and I have a snow plow.

I'm afraid to mount this blade, via a piece of channel to the bottom of my FEL bucket, as i might bend it.

I think it will look pretty good painted red.
Some where just the other day I saw a picture of a clamp on front blade on the net.

Yeah, I looked at the pics on their website but I could not figure out how the snowplow or snowblower mount to the tractor. Is there a frame that goes under the tractor? Do they mount to the front "quick release" mechanism under the bumper? Just trying to understand more about them to help me decide what will work best for me. The closest dealer is 70 miles away and he does not stock either item. Maybe I should check at the local Kubota dealers. I assume the BX series attachments must be pretty similar????
We got about 8 more inches last night and so far the FEL is working just fine.
thanks,

The blower has 2 parts: the quick hitch (which I think is the same for the front blade and broom) and the blower.

The quick hitch hangs on the frame and a T bolt is used to tighten on the bottom of the frame and basically wedge the system in place. The quick hitch has the hydraulic cylinder to lift the implement. It also has a plate that slides into a receiver on the implement where it latches in place. It is a pretty simple to use system.

Hope I explained it in a reasonable fashion. I will look at the manual tonight to see if there are any decent pics I can scan in for you.

Thanks for the info loulblades. We got another 4-5" last night. The way it keeps coming down here I think my only option will be a snowblower. Right now the FEL is coming in handy because I am having to move the snow banks back to make room!

I attached (or at least attempted to) a few scanned pages from the manuals to show the Quick Change Hitch and the blower.

Hope this helps.

I built a plow to attach in place of the FEL bucket and it works great!
Big advantage besides the money saved, is I can push snow off of the
top of the piles (very handy right now) and, I was able to work some
5 foot drifts from the top and push the to the side that I would not have
been able to work with a regular frame mounted plow. I have a gravel
drive 300 feet long so it is especially challenging but, Fergie was
able to get the job done.

I had a feeling you would ask that. I am not set up for digital pics
but, I will get someone to take some and post in the near future.
I took 2 Bolens 42inch tube frame plows (fairly easy to obtain),
cut 15inches off both ends of one and welded them on the other,
making one 72inch plow. Then, I made a frame to attach the
assembly to the bucket arms. The origional Bolens piviot and
springs were retained. mounting to arms was fabricated with
bushings from Tractor Supply Co. I also added rubber tire casters
because I have a gravel driveway, to hold the plow 3 inches off the
ground. The tilting assy for the bucket allows the plow to be set
down higher or lower. The entire project took about one day,
fairly easy for a good fabricator. Power angle will be added someday
when I have more time.
If you build the plow and set it in front of the tractor, its fairly
obvious what you need to build.
Stay tuned.
