GC1700 series OEM pallet forks?

One would think that a lot of people upon purchasing a scut would enquire about a SSQA. Why wouldn't they offer it from the get go. Id think they are losing out on some profits or maybe its just not that popular. In my case I did ask upon purchasing of the tractor but to my surprise the dealer didn't have much info. He showed me some sites with the attachable forks and I wasn't really interested in those. Hard to believe that massey doesn't offer this. I guess the profit margin on something like this is to slim and probably not enough people interested in it. Im sure if they did offer it would be in same realm cost wise as other third party vendors for such an attachment

I think the real reason is that until recently, there really weren't SSQA attachments that were made for these little tractors. Most skid steers have way more list capacity, which means their implements are built way stronger...and heavier. No reason to put a 500lb grapple on a scut that can barely lift more than that. BUT...things are changing, lift capacities are coming up, and manufacturers are starting to make smaller, lighter implements. Kubota just started offering the SSQA on a BX recently...can you get it on a JD 1023/5, I'm not sure. No doubt all manufacturers will offer it in the next few years!

One other issue related to fel quick attaching on the Massey SCUT is the differences between the dl100 fell used between 006 and 2014 ND the dl95 that came out in 2015 and ongoing. You'll read on many threads that the dl95 has improved numbers and capacity than the dl100 . . . but what you won't read about is why.

Sure it's a different vendor . . but again. . . why different numbers? No, it's not magic, the dl95 loader is actually different . Let's take a specific difference. . . . the pins. The dl100 used a very standard sized pin. . . While the dl95 uses heavier, thicker pin. . Heavier than a dl100 pin and heavier than a BX pin. And if you see schematics on the dl95 engineering. . You'd see similar yes of differences in other areas of the fel.

That's all good except for one thing. . A dl100 fel connection to implements and a dl95 connection are not the same. So if you are building a quick attach for the dl100 and then converting it for the dl95 . . You find that it is a complete new engineering effort for the quick attach. That's one of the reasons why mytractortools.com was the 1st to come out with a quick attach for the dl95. And now I understand they have a saw quick attach option also.

But mytractortools.com specializes in SCUT implements and accessories so they have the bucket's and forks and grapples designed for Massey SCUT weight capacities and payload issues. Meanwhile other suppliers are selling heavier implements that are less efficient when it comes to payload.

I'm assume Massey wants to generate greater SCUT equipment sales before it gets into implement activity. Instead, Massey has focused on innovation in other areas. Here are a couple:

A backhoe for the gc1710 and gc1720 that allows them to also have a 3ph attached (kubota doesn't have it)

A dedicated mulching mmm deck using 6 blades and improved mulching capability (kubota doesn't have it)

And of course the dl95 fel and it's superior weight handling capabilities.

Anyone heard of Geindus bolt on pallet forks? They have them on Amazon for just a little more than the Titans and are 2000# rated. Both come with stabilizer bar and 43" in length.

Thanks,
