I have not found float either.

Greetings Edgarrian,

Finding the float position on our GC1700s is a summer and winter benefit. In winter you can plow concrete and blacktop of snow and ice using your bucket and in summer you can backdrag our buckets like a champ. Ice removal is so much easier.

What some don't realize is that fel bucket float is two actions not one. The float choice is an up and down effect that puts the bucket and fel arm weight to the ground in a fixed setting . . that's the simple to understand part. But our bucket's also tilt and curl and the tilt and curl continues to operate at your adjustment control while still in float mode.

So in forward direction tilt can change how much edge digs into the surface and curl rides/flattens over surface. In reverse the same concept either smooths (curl) or drag brooms (tilt).

I'm not bad at normal backdragging to level manually. . . but in float mode using tilt/curl I'm almost as good as a seasoned landscaper or excavator.

And using the bucket for snow removal was neither easy or driveway beneficial till float was discovered lol.

Ill have to try the 130 to 200 angle. I had tried straight up and couldn't get it. Really not a big deal to me as Im able to load my bucket without gouging. Ill be home in 4 weeks thats the crappy part. Here's to hoping it goes by quickly
