11.9 hours on my gc1705 now. Today I moved a few stumps and when I was done I noticed the loader joystick rod as been rubbing on the loader support. The joystick has quite a bit of free play before it starts to work the valve (in all directions). This doesn't seem right but I could be wrong. Has anyone seen this? I may have to take the front screen assembly off to see what's going on.

Joystick shouldn't be rubbing on loader support .

I have a GC1720 and the loader joystick should 'park' itself a long way from the loader support. I would have to push full right (dump) and forward (drop) in order to maybe have my loader stick contact that support. It sounds like the lower stem (inboard of the bend against the console) may have slid outward. It likely is held by a set screw or two, but I have never removed the boot.

Thanks, it's actually the parts of the loader that moves. Only contacts when lifted high and forward/right on the joystick. Something is loose in there. Can't see much with just the boot off. If I can fix it myself fairly easily, it would be better than the hassle of working with the dealer.

There are some universal type joints connected to the joy stick via bolts that sometime work loose. Raise the rubber boot and take a look at those. Tightening the nuts will likely solve your problem

I have the front panel loose and the only thing I can tell is that those rod ends "lean" a lot allowing the joystick to wiggle alot before it works the valve. Hopefully, like you said, tightening up the jam nuts on them will fix it.

Here is some pictures. I can't load the video, but look at the difference in distance from the lock eyelet to that black cable. This is how much it can move before working the valve. Pretty sloppy. One jam not was loose, but that was not the problem.
