GC1710 VS GC1720

[Tool puts]

Other than the 2.5HP and bit more hydraulic flow, is there anything else different between the GC1710 and GC1720? Is it just through RPM's? Injector pump?

Wondering if the difference is noticeable for the extra 1K.

Went with the GC 1720 for the higher pto power, for pto generator , I also went with rear finish mower and snow blower , plus a tiller , love it

Does anyone know how hours are counted on each machine? I *thought* my GC2400 counts at 1800 rpm, meaning 60 minutes of operation at 1800 rpms will put 1 hour on the clock? So do the GC1705/10 and GC1715/20 count hours the same way?

I just looked in the manual I got with my GC1720 with build date of 06/2015.

The GC1705/10 average hours calculated are at 1800 rpm.

The GC 1715/20 average hours calculated are at 2330 rpm.

Interesting. I wonder if what difference, if any, in hours I would see doing the same tasks with each machine. At full operating rpms, the GC1715/20 would count slightly faster. I run much lower rpms doing general work around the yard, so I wonder if where the "comfortable" operating rpms would be for me in each machine.
