GC1715 OEM rear worklight

Anyone replace bulb with LED? What did you use? Only markings on bulb are 12v 18.4w, bayonet style. Already have LED light bar forward facing & another LED rear worklight on left side. Might as well make oem light useful since I bought 3 pt snowblower.

You need to match the bulb port type. Most people I've seen replace the entire worklight with a multi led work light to get better light flooding vs a single bulb replacement.

The problem you will find is that the worklight is on an Ignition HOT lead (because the worklight has it's own switch). If you go to an aftermarket LED, you will have to provide your own in-line switch as I have been unable to find an LED with an integrated switch. Just changing the bulb to LED doesn't work very well because the housing is designed for an incandescent bulb and it doesn't focus the light. BTDT

If you elect to replace the entire worklight with an LED array check your fuse and wiring capacity. Although an LED uses less power than an incandescent if you install an array type flood light you may overwhelm your circuit and regularly pop the fuse.

I put in an LED work light on an SAE connector with an in line switch and a split to a 2.1 USB charger port. Kept the LED down to 6 LED. Also replaced all 4 head lights with LEDs. Makes a good light show!
