And you generally won't - it's when you try to keep the speed up in RABBIT that it can bog. In turtle mode at max speed, that engine never bogs down.
 I have tried mowing in rabbit, but my land is not very smooth and I thought I was going to bounce my kidney's out. I'm not very concerned about how the lawn looks, which isn't really a lawn, it used to be a hay field, even after 24 years it's still pretty rough. I mow with the deck on the highest setting and only do it every 2 or 3 weeks. If I could stand the bouncing I'd be going faster. Looks like grass from the road.

I try to stay out of the yellow and red zones, the green zone (or below) seems optimum.... Yeah my manual says full throttle to, BUT...

Another place in manual says my 1715 with HST operates best at 2400 RPM and above....

Update, when out to use tractor today and shoved throttle full open.... Did get RPM into the yellow, bit that was all it would do.... Just prefer to run it in the green zone (or below) though....

So I must have been at or very near full when I tried it.
