I received this info from a Massey regional office on August 23rd 2006 concerning skid plates. This is long overdue!
"The skid plate on your unit will protect this filter which is an expensive repair if it is broken off. There will be a skid plate available to install on your tractor but it has yet to be released. This is a very new feature and is still being worked on. I will keep your email flagged and as soon as we get a part # I will get it out to you. There is a lack of dealer knowledge on this kit because it has yet to be released. We will be sending out a service bulletin as soon as we have all the fit ups done. Thank you for your support and I will be getting you this information as soon as possible."
