I am close to my first 50 hour maintenance. Should I remove the backhoe to access the hydrostatic oil fill plug?? It looks like PTO guard may in the way. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
If you have a flat smooth place drop the back hoe
It only takes about 5 min to do..
It makes replacement of the oil a lot easier
I now have 200 hrs on My GC 2310 and the first time I
changed hyd oil was when I ran over a log and smashed the
fill ter
DougM
It took me about 2 hours maybe a little longer but I had to answer a lot of questions to the shop foreman ( my 6 yr old )
As far as the cost I only spent about $75 for a 5 gallon bucket of fluid and the hydrostat filter . Don't forget the hydrostat screen in the trans........
Changed the hydro fluid in our GC2310 - took off the back hoe. Then proceeded to removed "all" the 3 point hitch stuff jammed in there and put it in a box. Now I can change hydro fluid without removing the hoe. Plenty of room to get to the fill opening behind the PTO guard.
