Would it be cheaper to buy in the US? Quebec is very close to New Hampshire, which has no tax.

You should buy what you can afford, but from the sounds of it the strongest you can afford. If you read here (which I'd recommend, a lot to learn) you'll see that a number of us end up buying larger tractors once we realize how useful they are.

Still, people pointed out that a small tractor can generally do what a large tractor can do, it just takes much longer.

There are a number of Quebecois on TBN, by the way.

I looked into buying in the U S for a while, a few years ago the was no question about it that I would, however when I was finally ready to buy ( a month ago) there were no real savings. you have to pay tax when you buy new anyway and then there is a 6.1% taxe because the trctor was made in Japan, plus having to trailer it etc... I crunched the numbers and unless you go with a used tractor made in the USA and don'thave to go too far to get it then maybe but for a new tractor not worth it these days.

It's done! We have bought our tractor; it's not a Massey, it's the Bobcat ct-122! We are divised between two emotions, cause we wanted the red one but we make our choice with the reason... I'm sorry to not join your club; you are very nice people and helpfull. Thank you very much all and see you in others topics here!

Thank you guys for your invitation to NH and Quebec; it would been very nice!

Enjoy your tractor! I'm sure it's the best for you!

:)

Congratulations on your well thought out choice. Heavier is better for what you will be doing if you can make the numbers work.

It will be a pleasure to show you pictures of The Cat... We wait for it! It's gonna take 3-4 weeks to have it in our yard...

We have taken only two options: a canopy and the block heater. I would like a thumb and snowblower but the budget...

We are very excited waiting for it. I'm looking if it will be possible to let it in the garage... There's a lot of thngs in (2 ATV and many things)... I'll try to make a place for The Cat inside... ;)
