Oil & Fuel gc2410 hydraulic fluid

Does anyone know if the fluid level is supposed to be low in the sight glass when you have the front end loader raised ? the sight glass shows no fluid when loader is raised, when the loader is lowered the sight glass is full, also can anyone tell me why the attachments drop down when tractor is sitting, i checked for leaks & found none, I only have 7 hours on the machine. loader drops about an inch every 45 minutes.

All that sounds normal, except the loader drop. That's actually really good, in time it will drop much sooner.

I usually set the loader and 3ph down when not in use, just to save strain on the cylinders.

I have not noticed any drop when I leave them up though.

The only reason I found that the loader drops like that was I had loader up to be able to install a winch to the front end, I did not finish the install one nite & the next morning the loader was down, so I raised the loader & checked the drop in an hour & found it was dropping and inch every hour, I don't think it should drop at all if the valving & pump are working like they should. What do you guy's think, should i take tractor back to dealer to have them check it out ?

The oil is leaking past the seals in the cylinders. It's common on these small tractors.

You can have them replace everything, and it's still going to do that sooner or later.

It will drop faster with heavy use. You can extend the life of the seals by not driving fast, over bumpy terrain with a heavily loaded bucket.

Don't worry about it. It's annoying, but not really a problem. Your tractor will get the job done.

I have not used a sub compact that doesn't do this.

Keep in mind, they can't make these tractors bullet proof without them weighing 4 tons, and costing $50k.

The valve could be leaking by also.

Thanks for the replies back, I have a couple of friends that have Kubota's & their fel or backhoe will hold at their height while parked, I just thought the gc2410 would do the samething. I will question the dealer the next time i stop in, the tractor only has 7 hours on it.Warranty runs out dec-2013
