Mowing GCD600T Grass Collector

Hi - I'm a novice owner of a (lightly used) Kubota B2530 which came with a GCD600T grass collector attached to its side-discharge mowing deck. I'm having problems getting the collector off the three-point hitch - the hitch doesn't appear to drop far enough to let the collector rest on its stands. What am I doing wrong?

Does your model have a mowing deck hight adjustment? If so maybe try setting that all the way down to zero and the hitch should go farther down. On the BX series it's a knob on the left side below the seat.

Hi Bob

Thanks for your reply. I eventually figured out that the hitch was being prevented from dropping all the way by some "safety" chains which attached between the grass collector and the tractor. Once I removed those (they were slack when the hitch was fully raised), I was able to drop the hitch further and - eventually - disconnect the hitch. My next challenge is disconnecting the PTO from the tractor!
