Yeah, the true horsemen of Oz come from the Snowy Mountains and the cattle stations...think 'Chips Rafferty' type drovers...tall, laconic. larrikins.

I think that the Mountain Cattlemen of Tassie and the Victorian Gippsland would like to be included in that broad statement.

Overszd: Aussies are traditionally laid back ...but that is changing as the cities become more populated...pack people in like rats and they act like rats + our politicians only seem to feather their own nests (but that is common in all the family of man!) Sadly the Australia I was raised in is rapidly disappearing...out in the bush you still meet more good people but even there it is changing as greed\ big business\ over government\ over taxation impacts the people. Here are a few shots from the block over time that, hopefully, give an idea of the peace I get there escaping the rat race.View attachment 614022View attachment 614023View attachment 614024

Seems to be the same here. I am not remote. But lightly populated. Grain and cattle farms. 80 miles from anything resembling a city. County Seat town is 3,500 population. I have a good life and wave at every vehicle I meet on the hiway. I know, by name, 75% of the drivers.

Thanks for the excellent pics.

FTFY....

The Branson looks nice, good little compact, its got a little more land to tend to than my kioti. i see you have Ags on her? same with mine as indys definitely wouldn稚 cut it here and turfeys would result on my tractor ending up going for a swim in the dam. did you get a slasher as well?

I bought a 6ft slasher in early 2020...not from Midway ..they closed up and reopened under a new name with the wife of the the Midway boss listed as director!!! I assume to avoid warranty claims as the 'new' company has washed it hands of warranty on the Bransons they sold under the old trading name!
