There is a drain plug under the transmission, and in front of it about (about 10 inches or so) is a hole with a cotter pin sticking through it. I noticed gear oil leaking from this. There is no way to remove the cotter pin as it is coming if from the inside. Is this normal?

What you are lookig at is bell housing for the clutch assembly .The hole in the drain plug is called a weep hole. It is there to let unwanted fluids out . Such as oil.The cotter pinis there to keep the hole from plugging up by moving around when you drive around .The gear oil indicatets a front trans seal leak.

Thank you for the info. Do you happen to have the operators manual? The link that was posted doesn't work.

I was hoping that was what was supposed to be there.
