Gearbox Ideas

I just traded for a bush hog gear box and now cant think of any thing I need it for since its geared up. I thought of a posthole digger but itd be too fast for that. I wonder if i could use it to make a power rake or leaf shredder.If it will operate on its side i may attach it to my 1750 CFM exhaust fan to use as a a brush burner. Anyone got any ideas.

Maybe some kind of spreader. Seed, fertilizer or even sand & salt.

Did you get the splined hub for the output shaft as well? If you didn't, the biggest problem may be adapting something to the splines once you firgure out what you want to do with it.

I thank you all for your suggestions, I this gear box has the smooth keyed out put shft. I may have some carbide teeth i stole / borrowed from the county scrap pile. I hope the gearbox will work on its side. Saw a craftsman leaf shredder made from a little half horse motor and a 12 inch tube that had weed eater string in it and a baffled bottom. I have an old Clyinder out of the thressing part of a combine and also the station ry part may make a hay grinder with it or try for a chipper. Take Care
