?Gearmore toothbar

Hi-I have a new NH TN60A and am looking for a toothbar. When out in California last week I saw a Gearmore catalog and their new toothbar does not require drilling holes in the FEL box, the bar clamps on the cutting edge. I like this concept, but in my search of the archives on this site I can't find anyone who has purchased this ever posting. So-Has anyone purchased one of these bars? How do you like it? Is the concept of bolting on the cutting edge workable? Any other observations would be helpful. Thanks-Bill

Somewhere in this vast knowledge base does speak of them. I am looking at them myself, and I like the gearmore because it just allen bolts down.

I contacted Gearmore last Thurday and the toothbar is made by Northstar Attachments. In my area JS Woodhouse is the distributor. I contacted a dealer in my area to get a price and he has yet to get back to me. I will be calling another dealer in my area tomorrow and see if I can get a price from him. Has anyone priced one of these toothbars.

The guy who had the catalog I looked at said he was quoted a price of approximately $400 for the 72" bar before shipping. Bill

I have the Gearmore toothbar on my B3030. I haven't had any problems with the allen screw clamping to the bucket. It has made a big difference in digging and breaking up dry clay soil.

I haven't tried taking it off yet, but I excpect that it's wedged on the bucket pretty well now.

OK here is the readers digest version of the toothbar I've been trying to get a price on since last Thursday. After a frustrating 15 minutes with JS Woodhouse (who acted as if they have never heard of a toothbar) I called Northstar attachments explained what the situation was they in turned called JS Woodhouse who then called me back and asked who I wanted to purchase the toothbar through. I was quoted $288.00 for the toothbar plus shipping. This was a three hour ordeal today( not to mention Thursday's time). So in short I set up the sale for the dealer coordinated the sale between Northstar Attachments / Rankin and JS Woodhouse. I felt like I was back in the office coordinating a lighting purchase between vendor, rep, distributor, and factory. This would have been much easier if manufacturers would sell direct.

In the end the toothbar is $288 plus shipping. Should get a call from the dealer tommorow to confirm the sale and lead time. If not I will be back on the phone to cancel the toothbar.

Toothbars are worth every penny and pound, you'll be happy once you get one on your bucket. I have a Woods toothbar on mine and would highly recommend if your looking for another option. They do bolt on though, two holes. I posted a link in the other thread if interested.
