General Maintenance/ +clutch repair

Morning all,
I’m new to owning a tractor but have some experience operating one.

I purchased a small diesel 4x4 MT372D Mitsubishi tractor, and have a couple of questions for the tractor wise on here.

First, what are the general maintenance items I need to look out for other than the typical oil changes? Are there lubrication points that are often forgotten or a certain point that I need to flush the trans?

Forgive my ignorance, but I’d like to take care of the machine well, and I’m afraid there are things I may miss on my own.

Also, the clutch has been having trouble recently and I’m thinking I may need a new one. When shifting into gear, it grinds, and I can’t feather the clutch properly, just have to pop it in gear and hope for the best. Does this sound like I need a new clutch or maybe throw out bearing?

I'm not familiar with your tractor so can't answer about lubrication points and so forth but the clutch issue seems like maybe just an adjustment problem. When you press the clutch pedal that forces the yoke to cause the throw out bearing to press on the pressure plate causing a slight gap between the clutch and flywheel so that the tractor stops moving. If the throw out bearing is bad you'll have a loud squeal with the clutch pedal depressed. Sounds to me like it might just be an adjustment of the clutch pedal to allow a larger clearance between the clutch disk and pressure plate. The clutch should be pretty easy to press for about the first inch then get noticeably harder. Adjust the clutch so this free play is about an inch. Normally you put the tractor into the gear you plan to use, you do not shift with the tractor in motion. The transmission and hydraulics share the same fluid. You may wish to change all the fluids to have a starting point for maintenance. The transmission may have a screen rather than a filter or even both, it depends on the tractor. I believe Mitsubishi did it both ways depending on year and model. Grease pedal linkages (usually underneath) and zerk fittings on the front end. An owner's manual may help if you can score one.
