Now you are starting to see the problem with Unions.

Dave, I have to agree with you to some degree. The union does tend to stand up for lazy people. My problem, however, is that you give the impression that only union and government employees are lazy. Or unproductive as you call it. Can you honestly say that all software engineers give 100% all of the time? Have you never worked with someone who didn't put forth as much effort as you? You strike me as the type of guy who puts in an honest days work. Your jobs and hobbies tell me you aren't one of those unproductive folks. Do you really mean to say that unproductive people only exist in certain job categories? Or would you agree that they can be found most anywhere?

Without incentives, over time, even the most hard-working people will not perform their best if their efforts are not rewarded over those performing at a lower level. It's the whole union system that is causing this type of behavior, not the individuals.

These are just general observations I've made over time. I am not trying to degrade anyone individually. I believe that if I worked at a union job, my work ethic would decline over time -- and I would probably be unaware of it.

COMMENTS:
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago and our nation was the most

prosperous in the world, had absolutely no national debt, had the
largest middle class in the world and only one parent had to work to
support the family.

1. This thread has run it's course.

2. osprey - the thread you tried to start with this same post was pulled because it was going to go no where but politics. The mod who pulled it tried to notify you but you don't accept PMs.

3. TBN is about tractors and all things related which allows for a myriad of topics. There are only a few topics not allowed, among them politics and things that any reasonable person could predict would go there.

4. Goodbye.
