I have a standby diesel generator that leaks oil since day 1.
The issue is, I have looked EVERYWHERE for the leak and cannot find it.
Here's where it gets even more confusing : the engine oil is dark (like normal used oil), while what I find on the floor is a lot lighter. I.e. like new synthetic. The engine oil level does not decrease either.
There isn't a diesel leak anywhere either.
Do you guys have any tips on locating a leak? Is there some sort of dye that could be added to the oil ? Kind of like the ones used for a radiator or ac system..
The generator is a sealed /quiet type therefore access is limited unfortunately.
