Gentleman farmer in Jackson Georgia
Good morning,
I Am A Gentleman Farmer,I have a Kabota l-2800, w/ front end loader ,5 ft bush hog, and a 4 ft tiller. I recently retired medically and with the help of my 16 year old grandson have managed to have a nice size garden first year 2010 My yield was fair, the drought left me with a weak yield in 2011 . my garden is 100 ' by 200 ' organic so far .
I am not a survivalist just want to feed my family , we can and freeze alot . now that I,m retired I want to try my hand at animal husbandry . mainly chickens goats and a few cows including a family milk cow. I am by nomeans a city slicker but just never had the land or opportunity and means as I do now.
I have had my Kabota l2800 for 2+ years and love it . just the right size for my needs .I live on 40 acres ,13 acres pasture .three stall barn. I have all the means to having a nice family Farm.
