Get with factory remotes or install aftermarket?

Brian, I will try that but I think its my valve myself. I have not heard of one of your links leaking yet. But what's funny is I can leave the 3 point or the FEL up for weeks at a time.

Sometimes they fail, stuff happens. Realistically it is the valve though. One of my customers had to have his 2nd valve changed 3 times before he got a good valve, this was on a CK though.

My 32hp tractor has the same problem with the factory remote. What's weird is that sometimes the valve is fine, basically no leak down and other times it is annoying to say the least. I don't know how this is even possible, but it is what it is and it does not seem to be temperature related.

I don't get to use the tractor very often any more, so it doesn't get fixed. :(

Diesel, when I bought by NX4510HSTcab 2-1/2 yrs ago, I had my Kioti dealer install two sets of factory rear remotes for $250/set as part of the package. I use them constantly for top n' tilt and have never noticed any leak down. I recently had the dealer add a third set when my tractor was in for an ECU update and some other things. It's just a second No. 2 kit, installed on top (or bottom, if preferred) of the first two, using longer grade 8 bolts sourced from Fastenal. I think it was EricTheOracle who first posted on TBN that this could be done on the NXs. Had I known back then, I would have done it all at once. So seriously consider doing it now; it will be a bit cheaper. I suspect some dealers don't yet know about this option, so yours may not. Easy job for the tech, as there is already a third slot for the control lever. Tip: The third set is identical to the no. 2 set, so the color coding for the control lever will be the same, blue. No big deal. The no. 1 lever is coded gray. My tech put the no. 1 between the two blues to separate them visually.

For your third-function hydraulics, your dealer can easily install a W.R. Long third-function kit for about $1000 before you take delivery. I just had it done recently since my tractor was in anyway.

If you want to do it yourself, Brian at FitRite Hydraulics can help you with a custom kit and likely save you some money. His work and guidance are first rate, as many on this board can attest.

I built my 3 spool & TnT system for my base model Kubota L3200 with the aid of MtnView Ranch from FitRite (Not the fastest, but high quality & great support, i'd highly recomend him). It looks great & better than some OEM solutions. I learned a lot & had a good time doing it. I made a few mistakes, which ended up costing a bit more. Such is the price of an education though.

However I'm looking at upgrading to a premium cabbed model (Kubota grand L4060, or maybe a Kioti). I'm pretty sure I'll be having the dealer install the 3 spools if/when I get one. Cabs are harder to engineer given the space constraints. I also now know much work getting the engineering is, especially mounting the QCs to not interfere in the tight space back there on these smaller machines. I may or may not install a diverter on the loader myself.

I never regret doing my first install though. Learned a lot.

I'm approaching 70 hours, 30 hours of mostly loader working fixing drainage and moving mulch and no leaks so far hope it continues.

Appreciate all the replies, folks!

I just instructed the Kioti dealer to work up a quote for me. Asked him for two sets of rear remotes: we talked about a third function and he says that he prefers to just take off from the remotes (I think that it's IslandTractor who stated a case for using remotes for grapple work); anyway, I think I'll settle for this for now and should I find that I don't like it I'll then look at doing a third function.

Probably go through FitRight for the TNT bits. (meanwhile I'm wondering what I could do with the spare [freshly rebuilt] hydraulic cylinder from my B7800's loader arm...)

Diesel, I'm sure you're on top of this, but if you're planning to use one set of rear remotes for a grapple, I'd sure consider having the dealer add three sets now. The third is just a second No. 2, using longer bolts. Then you'll continue to have both top and tilt when your grapple is mounted. You can disconnect and reconnect quick connects, but that would get old for me pretty quick. If you eventually add true 3rd function, the third set will be handy for other things. JMO.

Threepoint, got to thinking about this and, yes, you're right, go for THREE!

I've been thinking about a flail mower with side shift. If I had TNT then I wouldn't have the hydraulics for the side shift. Although I don't expect it to amount to too much, I'd like to use the TNT to angle the flail along the ditch edges; would have the mower shifted.
