Getting Bats out of the Barn?

I'll need to see about a spot to mount a bat house that isnt on the barn. Last one I had on a pole on the property that was taken down in a storm. Maybe if I can do that and try the ultrasonic stuff again they would move next door ..

Otherwise looks like I'll need to see when there is a tarp sale next and string something up ...

My neighbor had bats in the attic (;-)

He put a muffin fan up in the roosting area. They went away. Guess they didn't like the "white noise"/

I have bats a both ends of the gable on our house, and a couple of spots out in the shop.
The ones in the gable ends have taken up there as I built a cold roof on purpose.

Actually, I'm happy to have them.

The droppings go in the compost bit, not that it amounts to anything.

Had the same issue. I have been aiming some very bright LED lights up toward the roof starting in early spring and leave them on overnight. Knock on wood I don't think I have any in the barn now.

Just this week helped my daughter and SIL move from a house with attic storage. Yup, bat she-it everywhere. Tyvec suits with hoods, nitrile gloves, booties and M95 masks.

Her solution was to just move...

I was less afraid of the guanno and more afraid of passing out from the affects of the Tyvec suit and heat in the attic!

At work we had an open storage building we stored steel in and it was infested with starlings. All of a sudden there were no birds because maintenance installed a Bird-X quadblaster repeller up near the ceiling. I could not believe something could work that good.

It works great, especially if you are fortunate enough not to hear it.

All the best, Peter

You could build a belfry.
Bells are getting quite spendy these days, and getting them up and mounted can be a big amount of work! ;-)

All it sounded like was electrical snaps....pretty quiet.
