Hey Folks. I've read thru TBN a few times but just finally registered today. I'm toying with the idea of jumping into the Land Services ring, focusing on Wildlife Habitat and Forestry. I've been a forester for 5 years now, but want to get into actual implementation, helping landowners put habitat on the ground and manage their properties.
I plan on buying a compact track loader (Bobcat T320 or 870 or Terex PT100) and getting a FECON, root grapple, and bucket to get started. Most tell me I'm crazy (and I just might be) but I think I'm gonna go after it. I should be scared by the down economy, but I honestly think it presents a lot of opportunities. Am I crazy? Any general advice? Thanks.
