I remember FWJ telling me something about the larger rear wheels / tires. I don't think it registered till it got delivered :)

Small leak I noticed after starting the tractor and running it for a while.

Looks to be coolant. Not a huge deal as I don't expect a 30 odd year old tractor to be perfect but a little irritating that the service department at the dealer I paid for an inspection did not catch it and report back to me.

Anyone have any experience with this type of a leak before on this tractor? I imagine I will have to check on the coolant level occasionally and top it up.

Whoops that picture needs to be roated. Trying again. I'd be less concerned I guess if this was oil. Not thrilled about coolant leaking in case one of my dogs decides to go lick at it.

Ok - here are my questions on the levers:

I'm guessing the lever on on the left by my foot is the PTO? I expected it to be a two position thing - on or off. It seems to be in a middle position and can be moved forward from it or backward. Is this in fact the PTO lever or something else?

On the right side, there is a pedal on the floor. What is this?

The 3PT lever is easily found. It's the one that does not have the plastic thingy on it unfortunately. The outermost one I believe is the draft control setting. Not sure what the innermost one is.

I have one set of remote on this tractor. I have no clue how to operate them. One of these levers might be for the remote perhaps?. I can't see from the plumbing exactly which it might be.

I'd certainly appreciate any help you can offer.

Another basic question - how does one open the hood on this thing?

Not to dampened your excitement but most of the things you just took the time to post you could have determined by yourself. Step on it, pull on it see what it does then report how it works. Its a old tractor you will not break it.

This is the diff. lock. If you are spinning one wheel step on that and it will lock both tires together.

Sweet 255!

I assume you figured out the range shifter (short stick) has to be in neutral to start it?
