Thanks!
What I figured about getting parts.
Just seeing if someone had some insight or experience getting parts other than through their local dealer and if there is a brand that makes it easier to do.
I read elsewhere, on another thread, that the parts still usually go through the local dealer....if ordered from, lets say John Deere.
Large independent companies like Messicks.com have parts for a number of brands.

Where I see potential owners of a new tractor run into trouble is failing to check forum support available for the brand you choose and also the availability of free manuals.
I will use Kioti as an example. They have many loyal owners. When someone like me who tries to help owners of many brands with their problems Kioti has the "go to your dealer," philosophy.
Below is an example of a recent exchange with Kioti customer service.
I asked Kioti headquarters after the owner got not help from his dealer.

Good Morning, David,
Thank you for contacting KIOTI! We no longer make the LK5054 model. For the information you requested below, please contact your local KIOTI dealer. You can locate a nearby dealer here:

I replied in the same way I am giving you advice about buying a Kioti.
Please re read the form I filled out.
It is NOT my tractor but belongs to one of Kioti痴 customers who is unable to get the information he wants from his dealer..
Because the owner was not getting the information he needed from his dealer, he turned to a tractor forum where more educated and experienced people like me try and help.
Often I am asked Kioti or Kubota when someone is trying to decide which tractor to buy.
My advice to them before making such a decision is to go on line and see what technical material is available for future needs with their new tractor.
Your response just magnifies my further comment that the only thing available when Kioti is concerned is 敵o to your dealer.
I ask a simple question? to much bother to answer.
I hope someday your company will realize that their reputation is hurt not helped by that phrase, 敵o to your dealer.

John Deere has the best Workshop manuals I have seen. If you buy a JD, insist on being given the WSM and owner's manual in electronic form on a thumb drive as part of your deal.
Kubota has a strong following and the Orange forum where all discussions involve Kubota's. I have a
M7040 Kubota I bought new.
I find many who venture into the world of Chinese tractors are lured by the low price. I recently helped an owner of a new tractor living in France near the Belgian border. When he order his tractor he had no idea what live power takeoff was nor rear hydraulic remote outlets so did not order either.
The manual which came with his tractor was far out of date to what the was supplied and further, the company he bought it from was sticking their brand label on another brand's tractor and then went out of business..
To shorten the story, we exchanged over 100 detailed emails to get him rear hydraulic remotes. All labels on priority valves and pumps are in Chinese. Fortunately I have a friend whose wife is Chinese so she was a big help. When the manual does not match the tractor you have a severe problem.
I don't think you can go wrong with John Deere or Kubota. The quality of the dealer and the length of time the dealer has been in business are important factors to consider.
Having the dealer sent their tech to your place for service and you, at the beginning of the service, give the tech say $20 with the request that he or she teach you about your tractor is a wise investment regardless of your level of knowledge.
