Bought a used 500 propane gal.propane tank piggybacked it to my other 500 gal. tank.A little repaint and it looks pretty decent.Got tired high $$ refills in the winter.Paid 92 cents a gal. this week to have both tanks filled.Hopefully the 2 tanks together can take us threw the heating season.

Trying to find the price of propane, on the internet, is like trying to find the Golden Egg.

I’m in central ny and belong to a large group that buys in bulk. We just set this years price at $1.40, which is down about $.20 from last year.

I’d love to pay $.92, especially if that’s just the spot price.

I have two 1,000 gallon tanks tied together, mainly because I have a propane whole house generator and was the comfort of knowing that I have alot of fuel in case of an ice storm in mid winter. If I lose power, I have no water (on a well) or heat or anything.

Use about 1,700 gallons each year in normal use (heat, hot water, generator)

Good thinking to add the second tank. It will pay for itself over time and you have the comfort of plenty of fuel on hand.

I pre-purchased at $1.39/gal this year. Use about 1000 gal a year.

This weekend purchased a Champion dual fuel generator and will have it plumbed to the propane supply. No more schlepping gas cans, treating fuel, refueling, or running the carburetor dry after every use. Love propane and it is cheaper than gasoline for the generator.

Yep always getting ready for winter. Still have a gasoline gen set. Need to fill and treat a couple cans.

Will buy a carhartt insulated snowsuit so I don稚 have to screw w the cold this year. Those ambient air temps of -20 last winter was enough.

NH is about as far as you can get from all the propane storage here in the USA. LP going to NH is going by ship or rail and neither are cheap.

We get screwed here.. they usually price it right at what home heating oil is selling for. I suspect this year we will be around 2.85
