Power window motor works great, cheap too about $25. I added it last year, nice, also added a motor to the chute deflector, about $75.

Do a search you will find info on both of these projects.

And oh yea where is your cab?

Thanks for the tip. I will look into that. My cab is in my dreams...Having a cab would be great for sure. Someday...

You can always use a golf cart cover about $140, that is what I did until Santa got the cab to me. See how I did it below.

Hey kevin,

What is the model number of your snowblower? I have a BS2750B that I run on my BX2230. I wish it had hydraulic chute rotation like yours has. I am thinking of adding that feature to mine and would like to get some ideas.

My blower is an L2052 but the hydraulic rotation may have been an option. I'm not sure since I bought it used.

I assume you meant this to me?? It is a 2750 from my BX1500. The chute rotator is a Kubota unit I added when I got the BX1850.

Yes I did mean you. I got my Kevin's mixed up. I guess a 2750 is different from the BX2750 that I have. Kubota has an electric rotator for my model. The dealer did not recomend it. Thanks for the reply.

I had the heater outlet tapped above the thermostat so I have to get the tractor warm to get any heat. In the picture they taped it below the thermostat. I just cover half the radiator screen with plastic and it runs fine.

Thanks for that information. I intend to tap in below the thermostat housing, and I wanted to return to the block if possible. What surprises me is that they are returning the coolant to the top radiator hose. Usually it goes back to either the block or the lower hose. The top hose is the pressure side of the water pump and the bottom side is the suction side.

Mine IS a BX2750 blower. I had a hand crank the past 3 winters and it was fine but the new handle bearing for the 50 series is a joke and I did not want electric on the rotator so now that Kubota has the hydraulic kit I opted for that. It is a bit pricey but so is my time to source everything to rig something up. The kit has a heavy ring and pinion gear. The wire worm would not take the stress of a hydraulic motor very long.

That looks pretty slick. Have you used it yet? My neighbor has a John Deere tractor with a blower. His rotator has a linear hydraulic cylinder that tugs back and forth on a cable that wraps around the chute. A very clever setup. If I were a clever person I would figure out how to rig a similiar setup on my machine.

I have also used an electric window motor to turn the chute, about a $25 investment in parts, works great!

Here is a link for an electric acuator to move the chute up an down. I picked up the acuator off e-bay. Make sure you get one with automatic stop at full length or you will burn the unit out. Cost was $75 and drilled 2 holes and a switch, works fine.

I wonder how they keep the unit from self destructing when it reaches the end of the gears on the chute. I know from experience that the gears don't go all the way around the chute, so you can't blow snow back in your face. I had to cut additional gear teeth in mine to keep from breaking the wire spiral gear. Now if I go too far, the windshield gets a load of snow dumped on it, but I haven't broken any more gears.

Not yet other than to test it. It seems to work well.
