I can't help you much on your split. But here is what I did with my old Ford 8N split. Most tractors would be split the same way I believe. I used a jack stand under the tranny area with blocks and a few tapered wood shingles to get the proper height. Then a floor jack to support the backend of the motor and pulled it apart. I don't know if you can get a rebuilt clutch for your tractor. Do a www.google.com search for tractor parts or consult with your local dealer.

I may have to split my Mits. 1450. Make sure you drive some wedges between the front axle and the frame on both sides. Otherwise the front will tilt over when you split the tractor. I think you block up the front half then put a floor jack under the rear for support and then you can roll the rear end back. Parts can be found, maybe locally at NAPA. I have bought some things there. If not check the mitsu club at yahoo. Bill Rogers or Len Shaefer can get what you need. If there is a rebuilder close by it will be a lot cheaper on the clutch disk. It don't hurt to ask. Don't put it back together without replacing the release bearing.

I can supply a rebuilt clutch and pressure plate as well as the other parts you'll need. What you are attempting is not difficult if you take your time. But make sure the tractor halves are secure at all times. Its obvious, but bears repeating, you're dealing with very heavy parts. Be careful and have help nearby. Call 800-609-5110.
