One word: Grapple.
Nothing is as efficient as pushing over trash trees and just popping them out with a grapple attached to a strong loader and we'll ballasted tractor.
So long as the trash trees can be pushed over to expose the roots, then sliding a narrow grapple under the roots and simply driving forwards while curl/lifting will pop out most any tree four to five inches in diameter. Than just close the lid and drive to the burn or rot pile.
For bigger trees a backhoe with ripper blade to slice lateral roots before attacking with the grapple/stronger loader/well ballasted tractor is effective and efficient.
