I haven't been using my new U5030C much yet, because I've been shopping for implements and still need to buy a gooseneck to take it to the farm. I'm pretty well settled on a 14K Big Tex.
This past weekend, I bought an used pull type Bush Hog 307, a 7' rotary cutter rated to cut 3" brush, and while it's pretty old, it doesn't appear to have seen very hard use. My mechanic hauled it off to restore it, including new gearbox seals, rebuild the hydraulic cylinder, new hydraulic hoses, install a jack, and sand, prime and paint it. It's a hoss, weighs 1700 pounds.
Yesterday, I ordered a 7' Tarter HD box blade at a good deal, but it'll take awhile to get here.
Tomorrow, I'm supposed to look at a used Rhino auger with a 14" bit. New ones are awfully pricey.
First project is to build an access road and put in a gate. This farm/tractor thing is turning out to be an expensive proposition, but I'm really looking forward to it.
