Front-End Loader getting the Allied 95 to float

Hi Folks, winter is approaching and I'd like to use the Allied 95 FEL on my B6100 aolong with a back blade for snow removal duty. I'm in central ontario = big snow hopefully. how can I get the twin stick loader to go into float mode?? I've tried the "extra nudge forward " but i'll rip the control off if I push any harder. I might fabricate a blade for it too as I have a 7' parts blade i can harvest from. thanks

I had an allied model 95 on my b6200 but it was a joystick control, I can't remember where the float position was? maybe take the model number off the valve and contact the manufacturer Buhler. I contacted them and they were very helpful. Here is a link to the manual

Had another thought does the bucket dump have a float position, maybe the hoses got reversed to the valve?

I sent allied an e-mail, hopefully they get back to me. I'll have to get the #'s off the valves tomorrow.. thx

You may need to change out the valve, with it being that old it may not have the float detent. If you look at the spools a float valve will have a slightly longer housing for the float detent spring section.

If you rig up your blade to pivot like it would on a pickup truck mount, you can let the blade float with the lift chain. That lets it respond quickly to small variations in grade, etc. I guess it depends on your plow setup.
Not all valves even have a float position - you'll find out from Allied.

I suspect your valve doesn't have a float position, as others mentioned, may need a new valve.


I would strongly recommend that you look into adding a rops to your tractor if you are going to have a fel on it. I would build one of my own if necessary.

Ya jenkinsph, rops would be a good plan. tractor feels pretty light
