Last week I bought a used 3pt hitch block splitter, brought it home and hooked it to my TAFE 35DI. It has a pair of remotes described in the manual as a tipping lever.
It wouldn't work, so I took it to my neighbour. He tested the line and found pressure, then monkeyed around with it until the thing worked strongly, if a little slowly. Delighted, I split a pile of elm blocks, then used the loader (another setting on the three-way splitter) to haul some of the wood to the garage.
A couple of days later I decided to split some more wood. No response from the splitter, though the other two settings work well for the loader and the 3 pt hitch. I have tried every combination of settings at least a dozen times. Could the thing have a vapour lock, and how would I bleed it?
The reason I suspect something like that is that when my neighbour used his meter on the lines, things improved.
The tractor has 480 hours on it, a 1995 in pretty good condition. I have had no trouble with it in the year I have owned it.
Suggestions?
