Makes two healthy servings
I was doing the math as I read your ingredients, thinking WoW!!!

Then I got to the end. It's still a pretty healthy drink, when you're having more than one.

Extra credit if you remember what beer commercial the italitized line was from.

Does Lay's potato chips get me at least half credit?

Last time I was at a bar, I ordered a tall glass of Amarillo, mixed with cola, on ice. The Tender looked at me, like I was insane. "Hey buddy, can you make the drink or not?" They did grudgingly. And I poured some off to a shot glass. And said, "Just taste this." Which they did, and instantly didn't think I was insane.
Amarillo is a city in Texas. I’ve never heard of a liquor named that.

It's also "Yellow" in Spanish, iirc. (I'm the only one in my family that doesn't speak Spanish, so I could be off).

I'm not an alcoholic!

But I may keep posting different drinks that I make.

Yes, that is correct, but I’ve still never heard of a liquor by that name.

Next drink is a Manhattan.

Six ounces of Rye (I use Sazerac)
ounces of sweet vermouth
Eight shakes of angostura bitters

Stir for thirty sec with ice.

The Pièce de résistance is adding a Luxardo cherry. Notice the clear ice.

Good recipe! But even much better if you use Carpano Antica Formula 1786 sweet vermouth.

So many places cheap out on vermouth and cherries, which just ruins good rye.

My recipe:

1 shake Angostura bitters
2-1/4 oz rye
3/4 oz Carpano Antica Formula 1786 sweet vermouth
2-3 Luxardo Gourmet Cocktail Maraschino cherries

I like to try different ryes, but if I had to name one go-to, it'd be Woodford. The brand of rye matters less to me than the vermouth, in a Manhattan.

I have a bartender as a tenant… nice guy but don’t call him a bartender… he corrected me and said mixologist…

On a separate note attending a wedding with my 4 nieces ages 5 to 9… the adults were having a great time but the girls were starting to loose interest as the reception continued… 4 Shirley Temples with umbrellas made their day… they still remember 20 years later…

I love Manhattans, but I use Bulliet Rye. I’ll look for your vermouth recommendation.

Yeah, my Dad was not a bricklayer, he was a Modular Masonry Clay Unit Installation Technician.

Excellent choice on the vermouth. These are also a great choice for cherries:

My favorite rye is Angel's Envy Rye, but not for cocktails. Too pricey for that, lol.
