Nuru, we're all just jealous because we have to work in the heat. Looks like you did a good job on the glass replacement.

Thanks, Yeah, with the tips and a thorough examination of what the factory actually did, I was able to do a pretty good job.

Yes, I do this if the space between the metal and the glass is more than 1/4". It looked like that was not the case. It takes some practice to use the v notch, and I did not want to confuse him more than i already did.

This size glass is a pretty easy job after you do a few. The trick is to not damage the painted areas removing the old urethane. Then, you don't have to do all that "doctoring".
No kidding, I totally agree. and If I had to do the job again, I would definitely use the heated carpet knife technique.

Stop laughing Paul. LOL!

Well, at least this did not stop me from mowing at 96 degrees, a week or two ago!

Now I don't want to make you nervous here Nuru, but you can have the same problem if the ground is level and you get into the loader a little out of square. Next, because everything looks good, you hook up the hoses and then try to mount the loader. Here is where you say to yourself "I should unhook and back out and start again" but you convince yourself that you can work around it.

You can but it sure makes you wince when the arms bang against the posts and you realize just how close to the glass it was.

I've been lucky, very lucky :D :D that I have not knocked out the glass yet but I know it's coming because I remove the loader all the time to mow.

Anyway, great job on the replacement. Looks as good as the factory job.
