Hi All,
First, I'd just like to say how much I appreciate how helpful everyone is on this site. I also appreciate the fact that there isn't the negativity one generally finds on the Internet. Just good folks helping each other and I'm thrilled to be part of this crowd!
I have a 2005 Kubota GR2100 with 150 hours on it and, like many others, have dealt with replacing broken Glide Steer cables over the years. This job never gets any easier for me, so I finally contacted Kubota about the availability of upgrades that may lessen the need to replace the cables.
They responded by referencing part number K1254-94030 and said it was a kit to improve the cables and how they operate. Looks like it sells for about $280, which may be a worthwhile expense if I don't have to replace the cables so often.
This is much more expensive than the standard $35 Glide Steer cables, but it's such a pain to route them through the front end of the machine that I may just bite and give it a try.
Before I do, I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this kit and/or know what it contains or how difficult it is to install?
Thanks in advance for any feedback!
Be careful out there.
