Kubota GR2100 Poorly Engineered
Model Year: 2007
I'm waiting for the next breakdown. With less than 100 hours, I had the transmission housing replaced under factory recall, and it took two long visits at the dealer to get it right. Very soon afterwards, less than 10 hours, the cables that control the rear wheel drive broke. Under yet another factory recall, I paid dealers cost for the cable set and installed it myself. There is no discernible difference in the new cables, only the way that they mount to the front axles. They will probably last longer than the originals due to the new mounting position, but since the factory did nothing to improve the cable itself, it is only a matter of time and they will probably break again.
Pros: Solid diesel engine, hydraulic deck, comfortable seating position.
Cons: Reliability, quality of the cut not consistent even with new blades. Cannot be moved unless it is under power.
