I feel sorry that all you greenies have been PUNKED and I know it's embarrassing, but facts are facts. Just take your medicine like a man and realize M-O-N-E-Y is behind Gullibal Warming.

Nobel prize winner for physics in 1973 Dr. Ivar Giaever resigned as a Fellow from the American Physical Society (APS) on September 13, 2011 in disgust over the group's promotion of man-made global warming fears. Climate Depot has obtained the exclusive email Giaever sent titled "I resign from APS" to APS Executive Officer Kate Kirby to announce his formal resignation.

Dr. Giaever wrote to Kirby of APS: å…¸hank you for your letter inquiring about my membership. I did not renew it because I cannot live with the (APS) statement below (on global warming): APS: 'The evidence is incontrovertible: Global warming is occurring. If no mitigating actions are taken, significant disruptions in the Earth's physical and ecological systems, social systems, security and human health are likely to occur. We must reduce emissions of greenhouse gases beginning now.'

Giaever announced his resignation from APS was due to the group's belief in man-made global warming fears.

1. Note all of missing S. H. data. Weather stations operated during this time, but they are excluded. Why? 2. The period chosen, 1955-1999 leaves out warmer 1930′s & cooler 2000′s. Why? 3. Period from 2000-present has no statistically significant warming. Leaving that period out biases presentation. 4. Period chosen exhibits significant postwar growth, urbanization is not considered

The tactic is to insist on absolute proof of the unprovable. ... Then insist that the premise is false because only highly cohesive supportive information can be offered as proof. A wholly science free nit pic tactic, great for those who are fooled into believing that it is valid. ... but very bad for everybody if the "unprovable" was right.

NO, what you say is exactly what you do, there is science that explains the earlier warmings and it applies quite nicely today, it just doesn't fit into the AGW agenda. By this time next year you guys will be speaking to empty halls, so enjoy the little stage you have left.;)

The same guys that argue that global warming is not possible, are the same ones that argued to the bitter end that the earth is flat and the sun revolves around the earth. I don't get it.

First thing is read the dam# thread, almost nobody says global warming isn't possible, it's happened numerous times in the last 10,000 years alone! Where do you get this flat earth crap? And why do liberals insist on trying to use condescension to win arguments when their facts fail them? It isn't warming or cooling most argue, it's the highly unlikely scenario that even though it's happened dozens of times before and often to a greater degree and a much faster rate than now, this time and only this time, it's AGW. Seems very counter intuitive. By the way, that means unlikely.

They also believe that wrestling is real.

Just guessing, but I'll bet the income and IQ levels would compare very favorably for we poor unwashed hillbilly's. We can't seem to match you guys at personal attacks and condescension and we don't hold a candle to you in the narcissists per thousand count, but in the real world our success speaks for it's self and we don't need approval of the PC police, greenies or their paid compatriots to feel useful. But your opinion is useful to us, it gives us a real clear picture of who you are. Check that mirror sometime.

Nice to see that STUPIDITY is in full bloom.
You warmies have really got it together.

I was talking about those who think it is not possible. Your own response says"almost nobody" says it's not possible. Maybe you should read what I said.

They prefer to ignore all previous warming periods, many much warmer than today and faster to onset. I've asked a dozen tomes sNd they ignore that inconvenient truth.
During Medieval warming the British Isles were producing two grain crops a year, hasn't happened since and certainly not in the blasting heat furnace of today's imagination.
Do you have a source on this underlined part. I'd be curious to see it. We have had heat before, but it is the rate of the change since 1950 that strikes me, and makes me think this is not natural, but man made.

oh....re unwashed hillbillies...the Greeks used to rub themselves with olive oil to soften the dirt and then scrape it off after exercise. Good for the skin. With the drought and all, I suppose drained motor oil could work- that is after it was run through the engine 3-4x!:D:D

The fact that olives were cultivated in Greenland is to me strong implication that that the climate was much much warmer than it is now. There are natural variations in average temperature. In terms of rate, f you start in the mid-fifties, there will be a slight increase shown. If you go back to the thirties, there won't.

I would suggest that the AGW people look seriously at what the proponents are seeking. While they may haughtily speak in terms of the salvation of the world, let's ask how they get there. I think AGW is silly, myself, but I also endorse conservation and minimal use of resources. I hate waste, and love efficiency. I tell the kids we have an abundance to use, but nothing to waste. I would love to see solar, wind and other efficient energy supplant what we're using, but I abhor these silly businesses propped up by political cronies that do nothing except make themselves rich and kick back contributions at my expense. We have to get there through market-based paths, not government or UN regulations. It's just a power and money game to them, and the AGW are playing into the illusion.
