Tractors are plugged in on an as needed basis. Depends on weather I may leave loader/plowing tractor plugged up all the time. Especially if using daily so it is ready when I get up of a morning.
Now generator stays plugged up 24/365 with a battery maintainer. It's a big deal if that doesn't start where tractors aren't as much. The heater makes sure the engine always fires at 130* summer or winter. Battery change every two years. It takes a lot to spin that 6 cylinder cummins up and it starts wide open.
